What positive affects does modeling have on teenagers? I am doing a debate on the affects that modeling has on teenagers and young girls. It is easy to think of loads of ways that stick-thin models are bad role models for young people, but I can't think of any positives which I need for a two-sided argument. Thanks. |

What are some websites that help teenagers get into modeling? I am a tennager and think I have what it takes to be a model. But what are some websites or modeling agencies that help get me started? |
| YOu don't start off at modeling agencies you need to gather up a porfolio just like with acting. IT's alot harder then it looks and just here's a tip don't post your picture on a website that stuff does not work you need to take charge and get on the phone and demand to have an interview then you wiill sound like a real model. Theyy are also very picky about body fiqures if youy are 5'7'' then you should not weigh over 130 and thats pushing. IT's very hard and takes alot of dedication. |
Is there any modeling, acting agencies for teenagers around Tas? well I'm not that good at sports but i have people saying things like "you have nice eyes or a great complexion" and i love acting or pretending to be someone I'm not... so i really want to know about some modeling agencies or acting agencies that take in teenagers.

I would be very grateful.

Where can I find a good Modeling agency for teenagers thats Afordable? Okay here's the thing. I've been looking into modeling for a long time now but I can't seem to find a good agency because the internet post so many false ones that I'm really just starting to give up. please help its my last hope. |
Well first of all you shouldn't have to pay for an agency they get commission off of what you make. Try Looking up local agencies in the phone book or online and make sure they have CONTACT information. You probably shouldn't contact them online because then it's probably a scam. You should probably start to get some headshots if this is something you really want to do. After that Send some headshots and resumes (there are places online like actinginfo.blogspot.com that can show you how to make a resume) to the local agencies if they have an address (which that should). Also, make sure you have a lot of support from parents and family because alot of this Business in rejection and you have to remember that and
develop tough skin.
Best of luck adn i hope this helped |
What's the best modeling agency for teenagers? I'm 16 years old and I want to become a model but I don't want to waste my time going to agencies that just rip you off and never let you actually model for anything. What are the best agencies to go to, and what are some good tips for someone with no experience? I've only learned some tips from Americas Next Top Model. I don't know any models personally who could help. |
First of all you shouldn't have to pay an agency,if you do it's a rip off (they should be paying you).
The top agencies for teens are Ford, Elite Model Management, IMG Models, and Wilhelmina Models.
You are going to need a agent to find appointments for agencies and a photographer to make a portfolio that you will need to bring with you to the agencies. You have to make sure your the proper height and weight for the type of modeling you want to do ex. Editorial, Runway, Petite, Commercial, Catalog. Different agencies will look for different things in you ex. face shape, good teeth/smile, clear skin, pretty face, height. Some agencies will be more demanding and will look for many other things. If they reject you they may have been looking for something else or already have a model similar to you since there other millions of 16 yr. old girls that want to model.Make sure you have a good personality that the agency can work with. |
What are some modeling agencies for teenagers? I know about John Casablanca's, Barbizon, and the Powers guy, what are good agencies? Please and thank-you :D tips would be nice to :) |
| the ones you listed arent agencies, like kittysue said, theyre schools- and no model needs schooling, so all schools are also scams. first off, you need to be at least 5'8" if you are over age 12 to be considered by ANY agency, as well as wear a sample size (2 or 4), have measurements within an inch of 33 (bust, in inches)-24 (waist)-34(hips), with very long legs, and perfect skin and teeth and an overall UNIQUE beauty that stands out in a literal sea of THOUSANDS upon thousands of girls. if you dont have all those things, no agency will consider you- they dont even look at the submissions of girls who are too short or not the right size. also, just giving you a list of agencies wont help you because you must live within a half hour of any agency to submit- and if you dont live near or in nyc, los angeles, miami or chicago, modeling agencies (and modeling work) are going to be rare to nonexistent. you can easily google "modeling agencies in (your city)". then i highly advise you to google each agency's name along with the word "scam" and if ANY complaints come up, stay away from that place. all agencies require you to submit your photos (professional only- if you have no experience you must send snapshots that are specific to what the agency wants- usually no makeup, simple background, etc) through snail mail or a few accept digital submissions, along with your height, measurements, dress and shoe sizes, and i usually incude my inseam as well. to be honest, agencies look at your card, go right to height first, and if youre under 5'8", they toss it in the "no" pile. if youre tall enough, they check your size and measurements. if those arent what they want, they MAY check out your photos to see if you have so much potential they just cant turn you down, but will ask you to lose weight and they will take another look at you after you do, but they usually just toss those in the "no" pile too. just know that 99.999% of girls who want to model dont have what it takes physically- and unfortunately the modeling industry does not care about personality or ambition- they care about your looks, your height and your body and thats it. also, you need your parents to do all this for you, and a very thick skin- you will be ripped apart by agents at open calls in front of a room full of gorgeous people for one reason or another, and if you do have any potential and can get signed, youll be told to lose weight constantly, even if youre a size 0. its the nature of the business- theres no feeling and people are brutal in this line of work. if you cant handle being torn down on a daily basis, this is not the industry for you |

i would reccomend to take some courses at the tanya powell agency. it would help you alot with understading where your talent stands in the industry and you can familiarize yourself with modelling befor you contact an agency for an interview. also after the course you may see if you would want to join the agency. here are the list of courses

i suggest the two week holiday course for girls 13 and above
you may want to check out costmopolitan model management but i dont think its what youre looking for. there are alot of experience 16+ models in this agency
